A catching-up meeting in the kitchen with David. David reports that our auditor has found the figure of unpaid royalties by EMI higher than he had anticipated. This primarily relates to a payment from a former Japanese licensee, long gone, for $100,000 that was put into an account; and the account closed without the payment being accounted for to us.

12.56 David & Robert have been examining our auditor’s report on both BMG & EMI in detail, showing astonishing levels of ineptitude & incompetence. I note, ineptitude & incompetence in accounting & paying due royalties favour the financial positions of both these companies to a significant extent.
